1. Introduction

WalkGood Inc. d/b/a WalkGood LA (“WalkGood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a nonprofit organization that produces The People's Pace, our annual community run and walk. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit thepeoplespace.org (the “Website”), register for or attend the event, volunteer, apply to be a vendor, donate, or interact with us on social media (together, the “Services”).

This Privacy Notice does not apply to the practices of third parties we do not own or control, including RunSignup, Calendly, Google, Intuit QuickBooks, Strava, Meta, and TikTok. Those services handle your information under their own policies, which we link to below.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Event Registration. When you register for The People's Pace, our registration platform, RunSignup, collects your name, email address, phone number, street address, date of birth (used for age groups), gender, the event you choose, and any team or group you join. You also create a RunSignup account to register. If you register a minor (under 18), RunSignup also collects the name of a parent or legal guardian. Registration includes acceptance of the event's participant waiver. If registration has a fee, RunSignup collects your payment information through a third-party payment service on our behalf, and we do not receive your full card number. RunSignup handles your information under its Privacy Policy and makes it available to us as the event organizer. We may share it with people who help us run the event, such as Aztlan Athletics and our race timer [CONFIRM]. Names and results may appear in public participant lists and race results, and you can choose to appear as anonymous in public results through your RunSignup profile.

Donations. When you donate to The People's Pace through RunSignup, RunSignup collects your donor information (such as your name, email address, and billing details) and any message you choose to include, and your payment information is collected through RunSignup's third-party payment service. RunSignup shares donor information with us so we can thank you and keep our records. We do not receive your full payment card number.

Volunteer Sign-Ups. When you book a volunteer shift through Calendly, our scheduling tool, we collect your name, email address, and t-shirt size. Calendly handles this information under Calendly's Privacy Notice.

Vendor Applications. When you apply to Vendor Village through our Google Form, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and business website or social media, along with your Certificate of Insurance and, for food and drink vendors, your California health department permit. We also collect your availability for the event, the other WalkGood LA programs you are interested in vending at, and any comments, questions, or concerns you share. Because the form accepts file uploads, Google also records the name, email address, and photo associated with your Google account when you submit. Google processes your responses under Google's Privacy Policy. If your application is approved, we email you a QuickBooks payment link to pay the vendor donation. Payment information you enter there is collected by QuickBooks (Intuit), not by us.

Contact and Sponsorship Inquiries. If you fill out our online contact form or submit a sponsorship inquiry, we collect your first and last name, email address, your organization name if you provide it, and any additional information you choose to provide in the comment box. Sponsorship inquiries for The People's Pace are handled together with Aztlan Athletics, so your information may be shared with them.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Analytics. We build and host the Website with Framer and use Framer's built-in analytics to understand how people use it, such as pages viewed, where visitors come from, country, and device type. Framer states that its analytics are anonymized. For more information, see Framer's Privacy Statement.

Third-Party Cookies. When you register, donate, or book a volunteer shift, you use RunSignup or Calendly. Each sets its own cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and marketing cookies, under its own policies. You can opt out of non-essential cookies on the RunSignup privacy page, and Calendly provides cookie settings on its pages. We do not control these services' practices.

2.3 Social Media and Strava

WalkGood LA runs pages on Instagram, Facebook (both operated by Meta), and TikTok, and manages a Strava club. If you follow, message, comment on, or otherwise interact with us there, those platforms collect and process your information for their own purposes under their own policies, including Instagram's Privacy Policy, Facebook's Privacy Policy, TikTok's Privacy Policy, and Strava's Privacy Policy. We do not control how they use or store your information.

What we see is limited to engagement metrics, such as reach and clicks, and the information you choose to post publicly or send to us, such as your name, social media handle, profile picture, and messages. For our Strava club, we can see the information Strava makes available to club administrators, such as your name and any posts or activity you share with the club. We use this to respond to you and to understand how our content is received. Anything you post on our pages is public and can be viewed and used by others.

2.4 Event Photography and Video

We take photos and video at The People's Pace, and you may appear in them. The participant waiver you accept at registration includes permission to use your name, voice, and image from the event. We may use these images on our Website, on social media, and in fundraising and marketing materials for WalkGood and The People's Pace, and photos may also be posted on the event's RunSignup page. If you would like an image of you removed from our Website or Social Media Pages, contact us at info@walkgoodla.org and we will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Register you for the event, produce results, and send you race-day and logistical information

• Schedule and confirm volunteer shifts and get volunteers the right t-shirt size

• Review vendor applications, notify selected vendors, confirm vendor requirements, collect vendor donations, coordinate event logistics, and follow up about future vending opportunities

• Process donations, thank donors, and keep our donation records

• Respond to your questions, sponsorship inquiries, and requests

• Understand how the Website is used and improve the Website, our Services, and our events

• Promote The People's Pace and WalkGood through photos, video, and social media

• Comply with the law, protect against fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements

4. How We Share Your Information

Access to your personal information within WalkGood is limited to those who need it to run the Services. We share personal information in the following instances.

4.1 Service Providers

We share your information with service providers that assist us in providing the Services, including:

• RunSignup: event registration, results, and donation processing

• Calendly: volunteer scheduling

• Google: vendor applications through Google Forms

• Intuit QuickBooks: vendor donation payments

• Framer: Website hosting and analytics

• Other providers: information technology (IT) support, data analysis, email delivery, and similar services

4.2 Event Partners

We share registration information and sponsorship inquiries with Aztlan Athletics, which helps us produce The People's Pace and handles sponsorship inquiries for the event. [CONFIRM: describe their role, such as event production or timing.]

4.3 Legal Requirements and Professional Advisors

We may disclose your personal information where legally required, such as in response to court orders, governmental or regulatory bodies, law enforcement, or legal process, or to comply with any applicable law. We may also share it with professional advisors, such as auditors or legal advisors, to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights, defend against legal claims, detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activity, prevent harm, manage risk, and protect the rights, property, or personal safety of any person.

4.4 With Your Consent

Apart from the reasons identified above, we may request your permission to share your personal information for a specific purpose. We will notify you and request your consent before you provide the personal information or before the personal information you have already provided is shared for such purpose. You may revoke your consent at any time by contacting us via email at info@walkgoodla.org.

5. Children's Privacy

5.1 Children Under 13

The Website is not directed to children under thirteen (13). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen (13) without a parent's or guardian's involvement, we will delete it. If you believe we have personal information from a child under thirteen (13) that a parent or guardian did not provide, please contact us at info@walkgoodla.org.

5.2 Minors Participating in the Event

Children are welcome to take part in The People's Pace, including the 5K Run/Walk for ages 6 and under. Registration for a minor must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the minor's name, date of birth, gender, and other registration details through RunSignup. The parent or guardian accepts the participant waiver on the minor's behalf, which includes permission to use images of the participant from the event.

6. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

6.1 Correct Your Information

You can ask us to correct your information by emailing info@walkgoodla.org. For registration details, you can also edit your profile after signing in to RunSignup.

6.2 Email

We do not send a newsletter. We use email to send registration, race-day, and logistical information and to respond to your messages. You can opt out of all RunSignup email marketing at runsignup.com/GlobalUnsubscribe.

6.3 Privacy Requests

You may contact us at info@walkgoodla.org to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. 7. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to run the event, keep our records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. When it is no longer reasonably necessary, we delete it.

8. Information Security

We utilize and maintain reasonable security measures, such as access controls and encryption, to protect the personal information that we collect and maintain from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, no security measure or modality of data transmission is 100% secure, and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the personal information we have collected from you.

9. Cookies and Do Not Track

You can disable cookies by setting your browser to refuse cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you refuse all cookies, some features of our Website and of RunSignup may not work properly. Your opt-out is specific to the web browser, app, or device from which you make it, so you will need to opt out on each browser or device that you use.

We enable users to view the Website from Do Not Track browsers. Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites and mobile applications that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.

We may amend this Privacy Notice in our sole discretion at any time. If we do, we will post the changes to this page and will update the Last Updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice to stay informed. If we make changes that materially affect your privacy rights, we will notify you by prominent posting on the Website and/or via email and provide you with a reasonable opportunity to provide or retain your consent, if required.
